Why do people (mainly females) feel the need to post pictures of themselves at the gym or after their workout? Is it because they know they aren’t improving that they feel the need to show the world “Hey look, I’m at the gym” so then people say “Oh wow. I really see the difference”. Other than that, I don’t see a point

It blows my mind that after all this time you’ve spent on earth, nobody ever bothered to tell you that your eyes aren’t fucking brown.

They are copper against honey and sage and when they water they glow, two perfect orbs the same shade as nature after it rains.

You’re not as simple as they wanted you to be.

For ages I have seen people associate gymnastics with femininity in a misogynistic way. In a very obsolete light that links women to fragility.
All they see is cute little teenagers in sparkly leotards jumping around and dancing.
"How hard can that be? I could probably do all of that too if I trained like they do…" they say.
The funny part is that most of these people wouldn’t be able to withstand a week of the training regiment of an 8-year-old level 5, let alone an elite gymnast’s.
A lot of people start out in gymnastics, but only a small handful actually achieve the strength, technique, and flexibility to be among the best.
That is because the discipline to stick with it and continuously strive for excellence, even when your body is literally falling apart, is something you can’t teach. You’re either born with it, or you’re not.
It is that kind of discipline and strength that makes them perform their skills this way. A way that makes everything look so easy that even dummies like you think they can do it too. The cold hard truth is that these girls in sparkly leotards are tougher than you’ll ever be.

Happy new year.

At the beginning of a new year everyone always makes their resolutions. They want to get fit, they want to eat healthy, they want to be more charitable, they want to become a new person. It’s understandable taking it as a new beginning, but why are you waiting for a new year to accomplish your goals or be a better person? Time doesn’t wait for anyone. Whatever you want to accomplish, you could have started yesterday. Don’t waste your time saying that the new year will be better for you because this past year was “not your year”. The new year arriving is just proof of how much time you wasted thinking about how “horrible” this past year was for you. If your mentality doesn’t change the new year will be just as crappy, if not more, than this past year. Change your mentality RIGHT NOW. Why wait another minute for something you could have done yesterday? If you like waiting for something new to change and make yourself better then do it at the beginning of everyday. Next time don’t wait 365 days to better yourself. Don’t even wait 24 hours. Start NOW. Take action and responsibility for yourself and make yourself a better person everyday.
